The Easter holidays are nearly upon us and for primary school teachers, explaining significance of the resurrection and the meaning behind the holiday can be a tricky concept for younger children to grasp. Luckily, the humble chicken’s egg has been a symbol of the Christian’s ‘new life’ message for hundreds of years. The symbol is a very simple concept for children to get their head around (especially if said ‘new life’ symbol is made of chocolate.)
